Overview
Stripe lets a product charge cards, run subscriptions, and send invoices without becoming a payments company. There is no monthly seat fee for the core processing product; you pay per successful charge, which we file under Paid. The docs are a reason developers choose it. You still need to handle taxes, disputes, and what the customer sees when a card fails. It is infrastructure, not accounting.
