Datadog pulls metrics, traces, and logs into one place, which is why platform teams standardize on it. Pricing is usage-based and easy to overshoot if every service logs at debug level. A small team with one app often gets further with a narrower error tracker. Adopt it when you already have more than one environment to watch and someone who will own the dashboards.
